30/03/2016: Platform Services Temporarily Unavailable

We experienced prolonged intermittent connection problems with our Desktop platform during this period.

This will have affected users’ Desktops, Exchange Server accounts, VPN connections and some websites.

The initial issue was with the data-centre uplink that, when it was reinstated, affected the downstream link to our platform firewall, making all servers behind the platform firewall unobtainable until we were able to connect to the firewall to perform a hard reboot and restore its settings.
